POLL: Which book should I read next? You decide!

After slowing down a bit to read Wicked as They Come for a second time, I’m ready for another book. Unfortunately, I’m indecisive once again, guys!  So when in doubt, it’s up to you!  I’m calling upon your wonderful tastes to decide what will be my next read.  Per usual, the sooner I read them the sooner I can review. I do plan to read all of these books. I’m just not sure of the order…

Option 1

Human Sister by Jim Bainbridge – this book was recommended to me and I decided to use my Amazon Prime account to get it for free.  It seems like it has potential to be a pretty cool sci-fi read.

Option 2

Raziel (The Fallen, #1) by Kristina Douglas – it’s an ongoing Angel series and I have been really into angels these days.  Looking for a great new series to follow.  So far Guild Hunter is my favorite adult series, but I loved Angelfall too.

Option 3
Caressed by Moonlight (Rulers of Darkness, #1) by Amanda Greene – Since I just finished the second read of Wicked, it was once again great to be in the Steampunk world.  But maybe it will be good to switch to its blueprint, going the more genuinely historic route.
Option 4
Firelight (Darkest London, #1) by Kristen Callihan – I’ve heard a lot of good things about this book and it’s been recommended to me several times.  I’ve been putting it off, but I can’t really say why.  This would be another read in a historical setting.  Just no vampires this time around…
So it’s on you guys now.  I’ll take votes until Sunday night so that I’ll have a nice new series to start on Monday.  Feel free to comment. Thanks in advance!

  1. Is it bad if I voted for a book not because I’ve read it but rather because I just want to know what you think about it and from that if I want to read it? 😛

    1. Not at all. That’s part of the reason I have a blog in the first place. We bloggers are at the front lines for our fellow urban fantasy fans, helping to separate the good from the bad and the best from the rest. 🙂

  2. Hmmm, well I haven’t heard of any of these books but my vote goes to #4. It has a Phantom of the Opera feel and who knows, maybe this time the tortured man with the mask will win the girl. 🙂

  3. Hmmm…I voted for Human Sister because it sounds more original than the others (at least two of which sound very derivative.) But I see I’m in the minority, so I’ll just wait to see which of the more popular two wins, and find out what you think. I’m sort of over the angel thing. (It got old for me a lot faster than vampires & werewolves, I guess). And I love the Phantom of the Opera too much for a retelling, no matter how many changes have been made. But whatever you read, I’ll be interested to hear your take.
