FLASH POLL! ARC-apalooza problems. Which one should I choose?!

Okay, so I recently acquired a few ARCs.  I am trying to wrap up my Black Magic Sanction re-read for The Hollows (that really was a great book for Al), so that I can get to them, but unfortunately I can’t decide which one to read first!!  So whenever I’m stuck with this dilemma I default to you guys because you’re awesome at helping me out.  Of course I will read all of them, it’s just that I need to figure out the best order.  I have:

Night Broken (Mercy Thompson #8) by Patricia Briggs

Synopsis

My dilemma: I wasn’t expecting to acquire this ARC at all, let alone this soon, but I’ll sure as hell take it!.  I am most interested in reading this for the baby mama drama that is sure to ensue, but it’s not going to be released until March.

Dirty Magic (The Prospero’s War #1) by Jaye Wells

Synopsis

My dilemma: I’ve been curious about this one for a couple of months. A preview of the first several chapters is available for free on Amazon.com.  But its full release is January 21st, so I would need to read and review it pretty quickly before its release.

Taste of Darkness (Healer #3) by Maria V. Snyder

Synopsis

My dilemma: This one is already out so I feel kind of guilty that I haven’t read or reviewed it yet.  I blame the holidays and The Hollows-days :P.  I decided to re-read The Undead Pool to prep my review.  And that actually pushed me back from the re-read with Kim Harrison or else I’d probably be done with Black Magic Sanction by now.

So yeah, your opinion will be much appreciated in helping me decide which one I should read next! I hope to start it by Monday so I’ll need your votes before I decide to read it that morning.  Also please comment on which order I should read all of them!

    1. Hope you hear something soon, twiser! I’d help but I have them as ebooks. You make me wish I opted for the tree ARC for Mercy though.

  1. For my own interest the Mercy Thompson book would be number one, but I suppose as an ARC reader you have sort of a job responsibility. Therefore here is my twocents of an opinion, seen solely from a project managing kind of view: “Taste of Darkeness” is already released and as number three in a series has most probably already followers and they wil have bought the book already if the first two books were good. “Dirty Magic” is a number one, and therefore it needs probably a bigger push and a review more urgently, as it still needs it’s “followers”. The Mercy Thompson comes out in March, so you still have some time, and at the moment people can only pre-order anyway. So I would read “Dirty Magic” first, followed by “Taste of Darkness” and then the Mercy Thompson one. I hope this makes sense and helps a bit…

    1. Thanks very much for the insight, Nici. I was thinking along those lines as well, but some temptations are bigger than others!

    1. Thanks, Julie. Looks like Night Broken won out but I will try to read Dirty Magic soon after. I may even review that one first!

  2. I love Mercy Thompson so ordinarily I would vote for that w/o hesitation HOWEVER, since there is time yet for that I say go with Dirty Magic. And then Mercy right after. 🙂
