The Hollows Insider

Earlier we got a title announcement and I polled you guys asking how you liked it.  Now we know what it’s about!

Source is goodreads:

Witch and day-walking demon Rachel Morgan has managed to save the demonic ever after from shrinking, but at a high cost. Now strange magic is attacking Cincinnati and the Hollows, causing spells to backfire or go horribly wrong, and the truce between the races, between Inderlander and human, is shattering.

Rachel must stop the occurrences before the undead vampire masters who keep the rest of the undead under control are lost and it becomes all-out supernatural war. However, the only way to do so is through the ancient elven wild magic, which carries its own perils.

Can. Not. Wait!

And for those of you who REALLY can’t wait, you can pre-order it now on Amazon! Though I would happily pay full price for these if I had to (they are worth every penny), I think I’m going to wait until the pre-order goes down a little.  I plan to own this one in all formats, so I’ll try to save where I can!

So what are your thoughts? Think this book will top Ever After or any other favorite?

  1. Thanks for the blurb! These books just keep getting better and better.. Im sad to know we are so close to the end but I have complete faith in KH, that she will give us all the goodies we want. That being said… Im still partial to Pale Demon and Ever After. I could read and re-read those books a hundred times and still love them as much as I did the first time. I want to pre-oder too but Im like you, I’ll purchase it in Hardback twice (one to share), ebook and even paperback when it comes out because I’ll use the paperbacks as gifts. So I try to go for the best deals when possible. Even still, your right, they are worth every penny! 🙂 Is it Feb. yet?!?

    1. It’s not February quite yet, Hazel. But I have a feeling that The Undead Pool will be right up there with Pale Demon and Ever After for you!

    1. I should say I am purcasing hardback, audio, ebook, and an ARC! I don’t really bother with paperbacks, but the ebooks offer bonus chapters if you buy them around the time the paperback comes out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the exclusive Trent and Rachel short story, Trouble on Reserve, that will be featured in the Ever After paperback. But I already have that one.

  2. So excited to finally have a synopsis. Though the release is a little over eight months away, it is very much worth the wait.

I do believe the story and plot lines are getting better and better as we go alone. Kim’s books play out like a long (and unlike most of the summer premiers so far) movie, building ever so slowly. The great thing about her is that no book is a ‘filler’ book, but a carefully thought out piece to the puzzle if you will.

I’ve per-ordered my copy because I have been waiting for this ever since I read the last page of Ever After.

Seeing this series end will be pretty depressing for me, and all the other fans out there.

On a lighter note, I cannot wait to see where Rachel, Ivy, Trent, Jenks, and all the other wonderful characters Ms. Harrison has created go. I’m sure there are some great plot twists ahead.

Thanks for this post. I’ve officially begun counting down the days (as if I wasn’t already before).

  3. SO COOL!
Eleven magic = Trent so double Whoo Hoo!
I agree with you all, worth full price, but owning multiple copies does damage the wallet!

With that in mind – you know you can pre order now from Amazon and get the best price they offer no matter when that is right? I get credits on orders from them all the time.

    1. Oh yeah, I forgot Amazon did that. Thanks for reminding me.

I’m also excited about more Trent, especially seeing as how he’ll have a major role according to the summary. I’m such a fan-girl for Trent/Rachel. It’s kind of sick.

    2. Hi Kat. Yes, I know I can, but I still like seeing a reasonable pre-order before I click the button. The business major in me gets concerned that they’d be less inclined to lower the price if the demand is still good at the current price point. And I also don’t want to encourage those who might pre-order from other places that don’t do what amazon does.
