Poll Results – Midnight’s Daughter it is!!

Thanks for your input, everyone! This poll confirms that my indecision was clearly justified. It really was a tight race! I’ll start with Dorina (which I am enjoying quite a bit already), and then it”ll just be a toss up from there.  I am so excited!!

  1. I finished it last night and it was awesome! I couldn’t put it down. I think I like this series more then Cassie 🙂

    Have fun reading it!

    1. Me too! I like Dorina more than Cassie already and I’m also having a hard time putting it down, but real life has to prevail, lol. I’m glad to be reading it close to its release.

      1. That is a blessing! I feel like the wait is really long for KC’s books… They’re usually worth it though. I like Cassie’s series too. I wuv me some Merci. Gaaaawd! That vamp is hot! And I think Cassie is hilarious. The love triangle with Pritkin is a bit annoying to me, but I still dig’em!

        1. I don’t like Cassie at all, so I like this series and how she’s not in it, rofl. It’s removed all of my issues with the Cassie series: Cassie, time travel, and that irritating love triangle.

  2. While I love Cassie’s series I think it can get a little confusing time jumping all the time. WIth Dorie it’s just kick butt the end. I’m still waiting for Cass and Dorie to finally meet. Can’t wait for Fury’s Kiss! I will be searching for an early release

    1. Oh, maaan! I totally relate to your statement! Sometimes after reading one of those action sequences I’m like: O_o “Wuuuh?” And then I read it one more time and I’m back in the game! Lol!

  3. Hi Erika,

Any sign of a love triangle yet? LOL. That’s one reason why I haven’t bothered to read the Cassie Palmer series. I see too much Team This or Team That about that series and it’s a total turn off in my book. So if this series avoids that particular, tired, worn-out-its-welcome writing cliche then I’ll happily give it a go.

    1. I’m with the idea to never say never when it comes to books but the love triangles can definitely get stale if they’re not done right… But that’s all a matter of the readers interpretation I guess.

      Fever Series: Mac+Barrons+V’lane= Yes

      Cassie series: Cassie+Merci+Pritkin=no

      Hollows: Rachel+Trent+Al=Yes

Anita Blake:O_O…. Never mind. Not going there.;)

Trying to think of other series with love triangles.. I’m not even sure if The Hollows one IS a triangle really… That might be wishful thinking.

    2. The Cassie Palmer love triangle bites. I hate it. Apparently that won’t be the case in this series, and that is a HUGE plus for me! I’m loving it. I will try to finish tonight though I’m sleepy.

Val, you have it right on! I totally didn’t mind the triangle for Fever and I was on the right team too :P. Damn I love me some Barrons.

I’m not sure if The Hollows really counts though, lol. If it’s a triangle then it’s a quadrangle since you can add Ivy to that mix.

Anita Blake STARTED with a triangle (that I didn’t like because Richard blows, and Jean Claude was perfection), but then it just turned into a orgy fest and their relationship just became one of the many. What’s special in that?

      1. I haven’t been keeping up with the series at all anymore… When Anita gave the bad guy a BJ to save the day I was like “Seriously?! I’m OUT!” And I just wanted Richard to die!

        1. I stopped caring what was going on after Book 7. Book 8 started my lack of caring, but I think I read it up to Blood Noir, though I can’t recall what happened. Just lots of sex.
