I think I’m killing myself by reading a chapter at a time but I can’t stop myself. That chapter wasn’t long enough. Sooo happy that the naughty elf made it in this chapter.

Sweet! Seems like I will not be disappointed. (I did stop for 2 years after she killed Kisten)I agree about Pale Demon relly feeling like a culmination. Both my boyfriend & I thought she could have ended there. Not that I would have been happy about it.
I actually follow Kim so I knew there were to be 12-13 books. I would not have been happy had it ended there. Book 9 did seem pivotal though.
I loved reading this chapter! Trent’s assertion that Rachel has friends is so heartwarming, plus I can’t help but feel that there will be some awkwardness with Wayde and Rachel, I wish that they could just sidestep that whole problem, or better yet have it never come up because they get to have a sibling-like or mentoring type of relationship, but this is Rachel we’re talking about and Wayde is obviously some sort of badboy…
It would all be much better if Trent and Rachel got together but they’re both being very cautious from what I can see. Hopefully this longer courtship and actual platonic-ish friendship will only deepen the “bonds of love” when they do finally get together, thus nicely ending the series 3-ish books form now.
